Every Smart Export Guarantee tariff
All 50 SEG tariffs Ofgem recorded for the scheme year, with the rate, whether it is tied to taking your import from the same supplier, and what makes a variable rate move. As a file, not a lead-generation form.
Fifty tariffs, as published, as a file.
Supplier, legal entity, tariff name, rate, tied or untied, rate type, what makes a variable rate move, and the dates it ran. Open Government Licence, so you can use it for anything.

What it shows
Baseline figures as Ofgem published them for the scheme year named. Not current quotes — check the supplier’s own terms before switching.
The spread is the story. Among tariffs open to anyone, the best rate in this file is twelve times the worst. Switching export supplier costs nothing but the paperwork, which makes it the cheapest lever available to anyone who already has panels — and considerably cheaper than the battery usually proposed instead.
Columns
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
supplier | The trading name |

rate_p_per_kwh | Rate in pence per kWh |
rate_type | fixed or variable |

started, ended | Dates the tariff ran. ended is empty where it was still offered |
origin | ofgem-annual for a baseline row; otherwise how the row was checked |

Read the origin column
This matters more than any single rate.
A row with origin ofgem-annual is accurate as Ofgem published it for the scheme year
named in the file header, and is explicitly not a current quote. Rows checked against a
supplier’s own current terms carry a different origin and the date of that check.
We label it this way rather than quietly presenting everything as live, because a tariff table that looks current and is not is worse than one that admits its age.
How it was made
scripts/data/build-seg-baseline.py reads Ofgem’s figures into data/seg-tariffs.yaml;
scripts/data/build-downloads.py emits the CSV. A monitor watches Ofgem’s page for change
and tells a person to go and read it — it does not parse a number and publish it under our
name. A monitor that says “this page changed on Tuesday” costs ten minutes of someone’s
attention and cannot be wrong about anything; a scraper that mis-parses a table publishes a
wrong number with our byline on it. See how we work.
